Paul Harvey, Sex, and Gay Men

I realize the Paul Harvey is an insipid idiot. Thank you for all your comments (and Emails.)
I also realized a day after I worte my last post that I really shouldn't care what Paul Harvey says. And now I don't.

When will people mature and not giggle when sex is mentioned? We are not eight anymore, you idiots.

I am infatuated with gay men.

I am.

I wouldn't say he's an insipid idiot but I understand how one could feel that way. Just think of Paul Harvey as mentally ill. Like you would Osama bin Laden or some other person addicted to violence.

Hi Uber, it's good you like gay guys. Saudi Arabia could do with more friends of Dorothy.
How do you know any Uber? I thought they would have to be extra secretive. Am I wrong about that?

Gays are pretty flamboyant here in Saudi, so it's not hard to spot them Kay.

Oh yeah, you said sex. Haha!

We never get too old to giggle about sex.

Sex is funny - especially the way folks get all worked up and crazy about it. It's fun to giggle at the silliness!

Kay,

There are a lot of gay men in Saudi Arabia. There was receently a "gay wedding" in Medina.

One, they cannot come out openly as "gay". Two, many men will have sex with other men and claim they are not gay, rather "they dont want to do haraam with a woman."

I never got that last one. You wont have sex with a woman because it is "haraam" but to avoid it you have sex with a man? That isnt haraam? What is better they claim it doesnt make them gay.

As a straight man, I tell you that if you can even get it up for another guy you are gay. lol

Kay, you might be interested to know that lesbianism is kind of a "fashion trend" in certain circles in Saudi.

Why is it that some people, even people who live in Saudi, think it is immune from what happens in other countries?

It ALL happens in Saudi, it is just kept hush hush which then adds hypocrisy to the list.

Keep up the good work Uber!

I dont give a shit what anyone is going to say, being gay IS WRONG, its disgusiting and it goes against human nature

Anonymous said...

Okay last anon, you've got your life they've got yours, why you can't just let them be? I mean what if I was to say, fuck Islam, it's against human nature, what would your reaction be?

Abu sinan: here we go again with that alleged gay wedding in Medina, were you invited to that wedding, I’m from Medina, and I never heard of such a thing, and I don’t think a thing like that would have been kept quite, It seem that Abu sinan is on a mission to trash Saudi Arabia whenever he got a chance. While like in any other society there are always some bad elements just like in your native Germany or in the States now, the good always outweigh the bad. Unfortunately in the Abu sinan narrow mind there is nothing good in Saudi society, he keep spreading the same rubbish in every blog he gets his hands on, give it up man, it’s getting old.

Saudi is known to host a couple of gay "weddings", but Abu Sinan was mistaken about it being in Medina, it was in Makkah.

Everyone knows that there's a huge count of gay people in KSA, and that just adds up to the overall sexual frustration in the society. However, what I found surprising was the ubergirl was infatuated with gay men. What can possibly be so appealing about them?

أبو سنان said...

Anonymous,

It seems I was wrong, the gay wedding was in Mecca. My apologies.

As to bashing everything Saudi, why would I do that? I am married to a Saudi.

My point was, and is, Saudi is JUST LIKE everyone else. It is not "more religious" than any other country, it just has a habit of covering up and denying it's problems. That is called hypocrisy.

There are good things about Saudi, but unlike some, I dont view Saudi society, or people, or the Islam practiced there, to be superior.

My main issues with Saudi are two:

1. People who claim Saudi is superior in religion or in morality and then feel they must either cover up or deny anything that proves different.

2. The royal family. The royal family nicely sums up what is wrong in the KSA. They are parasites and do not help the people of Saudi Arabia, Muslims, nor the Muslim Ummah.

So instead of attacking me, why not try to disprove what I say? Why? Because you cannot.

Here is a link to the story. But hey, I guess the BBC is just trashing Saudi as well right?

Hi everyone, thanks for the info. Sad to see the religious police are making such a fuss about a gay wedding. I guess it's important to them.
I have always wondered why people are so anti-gay. Live and let live is my motto though when I was at school I did get a clue as to why people are like that.
I used to know this guy who was vocally homophobic. Really gross. Always angry about gays. One day I went to the local gay pub and there he was. My friend whom I was with said he was there every weekend. So there you have it.

There are so many anons I can't even tell you people apart.

Anyway.

Firstly, even if Abu Sinan WAS bashing Saudi Arabia, why the hell do you care so much? Let him. It is (or should be, in our case) his right to voice his opinion, which I personally do not find to be anti-Saudi.

Secondly, the gay community here in Riyadh is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. Huge. Like you wouldn't believe. So I suggest we stop living in denial. They exist.
And so what if they do? So what if we have gay people living among us? It's their life.

When will we as a community stop caring what people's sexual orientation is?
"It's haraaam."
I know. We all KNOW. Don't you think we've been force-fed this information enough for us TO KNOW THAT IT’S HARAAM?

I am not necessarily saying being gay is right, I'm saying it should not be something anyone cares about. There are much more important things that deserve our attention.

Life is a series of choices, we believe Allah judges us on the choices we make. Does it make any sense, then, for people (or a certain group) to gain power and FORCE others to make the choices THEY believe are right? What's the point of having a brain, of thinking, if not to make our own decisions that will affect OUR lives/afterlife?
Man was not created to fit into a certain mold. Or a certain way of thinking.
We must be accepting. Loving. Compassionate. If we are not, then what separates us from rabid dogs?

Sew, I'm sorry, I didn't make it clear in the post that I was speaking about giggling at the mention of sex in class. We should at least ACT serious in an academic setting, don't you think?

Thank you for commenting, everyone!

Damn we actually got a comment from Uber, it's like God himself has spoken to the people.

When Allah says its haram then obviously its not okay. Dont pretend like its okay and that ppl can make thier own choices in that kind of way. No one is denying that gay ppl exist in Saudi, shit they exist everywhere but so do murderers and that dont make it okay for them to gain any kind of rights. Ur open minded we all fucking get it, just dont make it seem like Allah is okay with gays, and you know that too damn well

peace

I tell you why the hell I care Uber, I care because this is my country, and I don't separate myself from it. This man searchs the net, read some stories about Saudi Arabia that might be fabricated , or half lies, and then based on that makes accusations and blanket statements about Saudi Arabia. He made a blanket statement about the domestic help sexual abuse issue, as to say every father in Saudi Arabia prepare his son into manhood by offering the maid to him. He inflates every little wire story he reads and he writes it down as a solid fact. His discontent for the Saudi regime is well known; ironically he still allows this evil regime to pay for his Saudi wife full education in the States. Once gain this my county whether it's ruled by Genghis khan, or by the Royal family. Instead of being abrupt about my comment, you should try to challenge some of the thing he says about your county. You know Patriotism defined as love of and devotion to one's country, you should try it, might do you a lot of good.

Have a nice day.

People should be able to make their own choices. Whether you agree with them or not. Murder cannot be compared to homosexuality. Murder is a crime, where you are violating someone. Homosexuality is a personal choice or tendency, where no one gets hurt.
It is not about being `open-minded' as you put it, it's about acceptance and minding your own fucking bussiness :-).
You obviously didn't read my comment:
"I am not necessarily saying being gay is right, I'm saying it should not be something anyone cares about. There are much more important things that deserve our attention.

And that is my opinion. I don't think you accusing me of "making it seen like Allah is okay with gays" is going to change it. You think I'm too open minded, and I think you're intolerant and you have zero logic behind your comment.

The anonymous who is so patriotic,
I meant that since you don't really like or respect Abu Sinan you shouldn't care so much about his opinions.
I don't 'defend' my country against his claims because I honestly wouldn't be surprised if what he (and the BBC) says is true. Loving your counrty is one thing, trying to deny or hide the fact that we have serious problems is a completely different matter. Try to seperate the two. Might do YOU some good.

It's gone. At last Rosie O'Donnell has been silenced.

Anonymous said...

Well it’s unfair to say that my comment had zero logic because it did. FIRST of all I am tolerant of everything that does not contradict what ALLAH says. My point is that even being okay with gays and not condemning them for the WRONG CHOICE they are making is haram in itself because it is a choice after all. And just because the drawbacks of homosexuality on any given society aren't as obvious as murder doesn't mean there aren't any. And lastly yes I do agree w/ u that there are more important matters in the world that need to be taken care of other than gays especially in Saudi
I just wanted to speak out on what I thought of homosexuality very briefly since the issue was raised.

Anonymous (the last one) nobody knows who is going to heaven and who is going to hell. Not me, not you, nobody. It is for you to avoid doing things which are harem. It is not for you to judge others for doing things which are harem. Judging others and acting as though you know who will and won't get into hell is harem.

Anonymous said...

I don't think there is a hell anyway. Heaven and hell are here on Earth. It's up to us which we create for ourselves and each other.

Anonymous said...

Kay,I never mentioned anything about anyone going to hell or heaven I just said that homosexuality was wrong, period. This is not my opinion its God’s. I don't know if anyone is going to hell except those who don't believe in GOD, but I think gays will be punished for their act. I think that is reasonable

Anonymous said...

so how do u think they will be punished if it isn't in the afterlife? By making their life hell now and beheading them?
Stop trying to score points. It's obvious what u mean.

I cant stand that self-rightous anon spouting off shit like this - "homosexuality was wrong, period. This is not my opinion its God’s"

Dude - you dont know what God fucking thinks. Homosexualty occurs amongst 90% of Mammals out there, and the only reason it's so "forbidden" is because thousands of years ago People figured out that homos can't procreate by themselves. Therefore the races or tribes that "forbade" homosexuality increased at a faster rate than those that didn't.

There is no "God" involved the fucking matter. Even if there was such a being, I doubt he gives two shits about guys rooting guys or whatnot. Get over yourself.
