I'm No Genius, But Something Smells Fishy...

There was an article in the paper about a man who was found decapitated in his farm in Al-Quassim. There were signs that he had been tortured. The officer who was assigned to this case was murdered the next day.
According to the article, the fact that the first dead man worked for the secret services (or whatever they call themselves) had nothing to do with his gruesome death. And according to them the second death has nothing to do with the first, and neither of the crimes have anything do to with politics.

I have one question.

How stupid does the media think we are?
I have known they take us commoners for fools forever, but this is ridiculous.
Incredibly comical in my opinion, but nevertheless frustratingly ridiculous.

Hi Uber, I didn't see this article but to give the paper the benefit of the doubt, I think sometimes when they print things like 'the second death has nothing to do with the first' it is code for telling you that of course it is.

In Britain, ever so occasionally, the BBC will say 'the government denies....'and then go on to tell you a story. I think it means the story is true but they can't really go into it too much.

Finally some words from ubergirl again ;) they have been greatly missed.. It made my day finally having some reading from you..

I thought most people had lost faith in media's objectivity long time ago.. there is always someone trying to influence people using the media for their own purpose (both politicians and media itself) .. if they really believe everyone beleive their stories is another question- There are lots of uneducated people not having own opinion around, as well as "sheeps" listening to the crowds without thinking themselves.. its a shame the system works like this..
